Safety performance Evaluation and Development System (SEDS©) Home
SEDS(c) is an OH&S management system development and audit tool fully compliant with the following OH&S Management System Standards:
* AS/NZS 4801; OHSAS 18001; BS 8800
* SafetyMap (4th Edition - 2002)
* NSW Work Cover - An OH&S Model for Self Insurers
* SA Work Corporation - Performance Standards for Self Insurers
* QLD - Workplace H&S Management System - "Tri Safe"
SEDS© is particularly suited for multi site operations, and is extremely suitable for organizations intending to gain and / or maintain licensed self insurer status with the various state Workers Compensation Schemes.
The advantage of using SEDS© as an audit tool is with one audit, multiple audit outcomes are achieved to meet the self insurers requirements for the relevant states. This results in a consistent approach to audits, audit outcomes and system development, implementation and continuous improvement.
SEDS© produces scored audit results to 3 levels of achievement, generates action item lists automatically and produces audit reports formatted to SafetyMap and NSW OH&S model.
SEDS© is recognized as an acceptable audit tool by the NSW and Victorian Work Cover Authorities. Woolworth Limited uses SEDSç as the universal audit tool across all their businesses (Woolworth Supermarkets; Big W; Dick Smith Electronics; + Petrol; Tandy Electronics; Free Standing Liquor and Supply Chain) in all states, and is the primary vehicle through which Woolworth Limited meets its internal auditing requirements to retain self insurance in all states.
HSEQ Audit Tool Home
This is an integrated HSEQ audit tool that is fully compliant with (and in some instances exceeds) the requirements of AS/NZS 4801, AS/NZS ISO 14001 and AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000.
The advantage of using this audit tool is with one audit, multiple (HS, E and Q) audit outcomes are achieved. This results in a rationalized approach to HSEQ management system audits with increased efficiency in the audit process.
This audit tool produces scored audit results, generates individual HS, E and Q action item lists and reports automatically.
The primary focus of this audit tool is to ensure consistent audit outcomes and improved audit efficiency in the pre, on-site and post audit processes. This audit tool will be ideally suited to organizations maintaining integrated and/or stand alone HSEQ management systems.
Small Business Safety Audit Tool Home
This is a safety audit tool, fully compliant with AS/NZS 4801, OHSAS 18001 and BS 8800, specifically developed for small businesses and for organizations that have a low safety and health risk exposure.
This audit tool produces scored audit results, generates action item lists and reports automatically.
The primary focus of this audit tool is to ensure that small businesses and organizations with low health and safety risks are able to maintain a fundamental and functional health and safety management system that complies with all relevant legislative requirements.
Incident Investigation Tool Home
This tool assists in the systematic investigation of incidents. It takes the investigator systematically through defining the type of incident; the direct cause(s); the basic cause(s) and the root cause(s).
The tool also facilitates the development of intermediate corrective actions for direct cause(s) and permanent corrective actions for root cause(s) and provides a clear demonstrable trail of the investigative process.
Contractor Safety performance Reporting Home
This tool has a series of questions related to the contractor's safety management system. Answering these questions automatically populates a Contractor Safety Performance Report.
This tool is to be made available to the contractor to answer the questions periodically and submit the resultant report to the organization. In this way the organization will be assured that the Contractor SMS has been effectively implemented with documentary evidence holding the contractor accountable.
The tool is developed in Excel and the spreadsheets are password protected to ensure responses from the contractor will only be recorded where allowed; ensuring reports are received as required.
Safety in Design Hazard Identification Home
This is an Excel-based hazard identification tool to systematically identify hazards inherent in the design solutions for facilities and plant and equipment. It facilitates the identification of all hazards in relation to the project, identified in terms of:
Surrounds: The area adjacent to, but outside the perimeter fence of the company's property.
Facility: The area within the perimeter fence of the company's property. This would include the building, and built up areas such as car parks, private roads, security buildings etc.
Building: The building that houses all plant and equipment engaged in production.
Plant / Equipment: The various plant and equipment in use within the building.
The tool is made up of a comprehensive series of work sheets and guiding questions within each work sheet to identify potential hazards associated with the proposed design solution.
The primary focus of this tool is to assist design engineers from the various disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural etc) to systematically identify hazards related to the design solutions and/or the impact their solution will have on other disciplines and to manage the interface.
It also ensures documentation of the safety risk management process in the design phase of the project, required from a legislative point of view.
HSEQ Management Planning Home
This guide facilitates the development of HS, E and / or Q long range (strategic 3-5 years) and annual management plans. It facilitates the development of Vision, Mission, Values and an overall strategic direction.
The planning guide also facilitates an environmental (SWOT) analysis which provides the basis for developing strategic goals, key result areas (KRA), key performance indicators (KPI), specific and measurable targets culminating in detailed action plans to achieve the overall strategic direction.
The planning guide facilitates the generation of an initial draft plan that maybe fine tuned to the specific needs of the organization and has a feature to progressively monitor progress to plan.
